Check Out Some Of The Lesser-Known Hangouts Features

Hangouts the Gmail chat service used to be called as the Gchat previously. It has been the favourite chatting application for the kids of the 90’s and 80’s, ohh!!! They are not kids anymore. And many prefer to use it even now, if you are also one among those people who use the Hangouts, then you must know the tricks and the lesser known features of Hangouts.

Ponies in chat box:

Just type /ponystream in the chatbox and witness a stream of ponies galloping on the chat screen which will be an added fun to the ongoing conversation with your friends or family. And if you want only a single pony to gallop on the screen, then just type /ponies and you will witness a single pony galloping all over the screen. You can type the same command again to vanish them away.

Find Your Conversations In Gmail:

You can search and find your Hangouts conversations that you have made with your friends and family by just searching with a certain word  from the conversations in thesearch box in your Gmail window and then press enter, then it will present you with the list of the related conversations that had the same word.

Send Doodles:

Doodling is a lot of fun and to do doodling with your dear and near ones is more than fun and you can actually doodle and send it to your contacts in Hangouts as there is a feature inside it that is very lesser known. When you hover the cursor on the picture icon on the right hand side of the conversation screen, then click on the pencil icon and you can start doodling, after you finish it, just send it. You can find this option only in the desktop version of the application.

Share Your Location:

This option is available on the mobile version of the application and if you ever wish to share your location with your friends to assist them or let them know about your exact location, you can just simply tap on the GPS icon at the bottom of the conversation, then choose a nearby place or the exact location to the friends on the chat.

Change The Chat Background:

Just try typing the command /bikeshed in the chat window and then you can observe the chat background change from one colour to another, so when you feel bored of the same colour background, then try this command and see the change happen.
