Google has been in the process of giving a facelift to all of its workspace applications by changing their icons that match perfectly to the Google’s colour scheme. The Google workspace app’s icons are no longer different and now they all have red, green, yellow and blue colour scheme of Google. It has been doing these changes to the app icons since a while, Gmail, Google Drive, Meet were all a part of this colour changing scheme. Now, it seems to be the turn of Google Pay, which is highly known as GPay.
It is known that a Twitter user Sumanta Das has spotted the new Google Pay icon with a colour logo. But reportedly this new icon is currently live only for select users.
The existing Google Pay logo consists of G and P that are derived from the name of the app. The new GPay design is minimalistic and representative of its identity. Long time users of this payment application may feel the change a bit different and will definitely take some time to get used to this one. Google is yet to make an official announcement about this logo change. So, let us wait for it and the update to experience the logo in our devices.
