How To Play YouTube Videos In The Background Using Google Chrome In Android

Multitasking is one such a thing that everyone of us wishes to enjoy. Doesn’t it sound good if we would be able to text our friends and watch YouTube videos in the background. Yes, it will sound an interesting task, but not everyone knows how to do it. So, here we present you the process of how to do it using some really simple steps. So, here we go.

Unfortunately, as we all know the official YouTube application doesn’t support this feature and we need to be depending on some other third application for playing videos in the background and the process we are introducing you today is using the Googe Chrome Android browser.

First you need to open the Google Chrome browser in your Android device.

Then here you need to browse the www.youtube.com website, just enter the URL in your search bar of the browser and then tap enter.

Let the page open, now navigate to the particular video or any playlist in YouTube that you wish to play in the background.

Then go to the browser menu, then choose desktop site to switch to the desktop version of the video sharing website YouTube.

You need to tap the play button and then switch to the any other application on your device that open and use.

Then you can observe that while switching to the other app, your YouTube video will stop playing. But don’t worry. Just pull down the notification bar and then tap on the play icon there in the notification drawer to resume playback.

Thus, you can now be able to play YouTube videos in the background while you will be able to do multitasking.
