Vivo S1 launched: Key specs, Price, India launch.
Vivo wants to take on the likes of Xiaomi and Realme in India with Vivo S1. The company launched the Vivo S1 in China on Wednesday. As far as the overall design is concerned the Vivo S1 looks like the Vivo V15 and the V15 Pro. The Vivo S1 comes packed with a triple camera set up on the back panel, pop-up selfie camera, all screen design, and others. As of now, the Vivo S1 has been launched in China, but rumours suggest that the smartphone will be launching in India very soon, but the exact India launch date is yet to be officially revealed.

Rumours suggest that the Vivo S1 will come to India to compete with brands like Xiaomi and Realme. Overall the design of the Vivo S1 is similar to the Vivo V15 series of phones. Until now the V15 is the cheapest pop-up selfie camera phone available in India, but after the Vivo S1 launches in the country it will take V15’s place. Considering the offerings for the price it comes for we believe the Vivo S1 the smartphone can worry brands like — Xiaomi and Realme in India. Let’s take a quick look at the offerings of the Vivo S1.
Vivo S1 specs:
Display: The Vivo phones comes with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ IPS display with screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90.95 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
Processor: The Vivo S1 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 SoC with Mali-G72 GPU.
RAM: 6GB RAM
Storage: 128GB storage. The phone comes with microSD card support which lets storage expand by up to 256GB.
Rear camera: The Vivo S1 includes three cameras on the back panel. There’s a primary sensor of 12-megapixel with an f/1.78 lens, a secondary 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens, and third is a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 lens.
Front camera: On the camera front the Vivo S1 includes a 25-megapixel pop-up selfie shooter with f/2.0 lens.
Battery: The phone includes a 3,940mAh battery.
Software: On the software front, the Vivo S1 runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie.
Vivo S1 features:
–Pop-up selfie camera is the key highlight of the Vivo S1. Similar to the V15 series the first S series phone from Vivo also comes with pop-up selfie camera mechanism. The phone includes a 25-megapixel pop-up selfie shooter on the front.
–Similar to the Vivo V15 the new Vivo S1 also includes rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which will help users to unlock the smartphone. The fingerprint sensor is placed next to the triple camera setup on the back panel of the phone.
–The Vivo S1 includes triple cameras on the rear panel. The primary camera has a 12MP sensor. The second 8MP camera is for clicking ultra-wide shot while the third sensor is for clicking depth pictures or portrait shots.
–The Vivo phone comes in two interesting colours including — Ice Lake Blue and Pet Powder.
–It is good to see the Vivo S1 run on Android 9 Pie based on Funtouch OS 9.
Vivo S1 price and India launch:
Vivo S1 has been launched in China so far. In China, the Vivo S1 comes with a price tag of CNY 2,298 — which roughly translates Rs 24,500. Rumours suggest that the Vivo S1 will come to India and compete with phone brands like Xiaomi and Realme. Vivo is yet to officially announce the India launch timeline of the Vivo S1.
